Here is an interesting article about the Latin Mass making a comeback in western Massachusetts. What is striking is how much of this movement is being driven by younger people. These people are not that tired stereotype of older Catholics holding onto the past. At a this parish in Easthampton, the traditional liturgy is steadily growing in attendance and even young families and students showing up regularly.

What draws them in seems to be the sense of reverence and focus: the quiet, the symbolism, the incense, the feeling that the Mass is directed toward God in a very intentional way. Some people talk about how the depth of the prayers and the consistency of the tradition give them a stronger connection to the faith, almost like tapping into something timeless. Despite the broader tensions in the Church around liturgies, the overall vibe here feels hopeful. Young Catholics are rediscovering something meaningful that still resonates today and building a genuine, growing community around it.
